GEOFFREY K SMITH
SENIOR PARTNER
Geoff first gained his Tax Agent certificate in 1968 and was one of the founders of the firm Macarthur Smith & Van Der Horst which later underwent a name change to Macarthur’s MSVDH as it is known today. Over the years, Geoff has held many executive management positions at companies within various industries and has a vast range of knowledge relating to business management and auditing in both public and large private companies. Geoff was admitted into the Australian Society of Accountants in 1970 and Certified Practising Accountants in 1984. He became a Registered Company Auditor in 1985 and a Superannuation Fund Auditor in 2013.
SHELBY SHILLABEER
CLIENT MANAGER / SA BRANCH MANAGER
Shelby joined the Macarthur’s team in February 2009. She has since moved to Adelaide and undertakes the role of SA Branch Manager. Shelby provides financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data. She also prepares Financial Statements, Income Tax Returns, Workers Compensation and many other industry related reports. Michelle is a member of our audit team and provides support to our external clients with all aspects of the bookkeeping.
CHARLOTTE MCGREGOR
CLIENT MANAGER / NT BRANCH MANAGER
Charlotte first worked for Macarthur’s MSVDH from January 2006 until January 2009, when she moved to Darwin to take up a position as an auditor with Merit Partners and later spent several years as a finance manager with a large fuel company. In 2013, Charlotte returned to Macarthur’s as a contractor and is our NT Branch Manager. Charlotte is responsible for preparing Income Tax Returns, Financial Accounts, Workers’ Compensation, taxation queries, liaising with our Northern Territory clients and is a member of our audit team. Charlotte is currently studying with Charles Sturt University and working towards her CPA.
LISA LINNETT
MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIVISION / BOOKKEEPER
Lisa joined the Macarthur’s team in July 2013 and has over 10 years’ experience in payroll. Lisa’s job includes completing data entry, preparation of monthly reports, preparation and lodgement of client’s Business Activity Statements with the Australian Taxation Office and liaising with clients and the Australian Taxation Office.
BONNIE KING
CLIENT SERVICES ADMINISTRATOR
Bonnie joined Macarthur’s in January 2018 and is the newest member to the Macarthur’s team. Bonnie’s job is more customer orientated, handling client calls and emails, client queries, printing income tax returns and financial statements, liaising with the Australian Taxation Office and other Government agencies.
